What is a Biopsie

A biopsy is a medical test performed by a physician involving extraction of sample cells or tissue for examination to determine the presence or extent of a disease. This is a common procedure for possible skin cancer, psoriasis and unknown skin rashes.
How It Works
After examination, Dr. Malherbe will assess the best way to collect a sample of the tissue and send it to the hospital lab for analysis. The area is frozen to make this a painless procedure and if needed, stitches are applied with care to minimize scarring.
